Harrogate-based The Pete Oliver Band play a sweet mix of soul , funk , blues and jazz with a few rocky edges. Formed in 2007 with guitarist Nathan Tooke, the first album, 25 Years In A Leaky Boat, was released on Straytown Records in 2008. The second album, released on Nathan Tooke Records in July 2011, is entitled Travelling With Friends (One World). The current line up of the Band is Sharon Colgan on lead vocals, Owen James on trumpet, flugelhorn and vocals, Andrew Whitaker on drums and Nathan and Pete on guitar and bass respectively. Our main influences are Tamla Motown , Tom Petty, Dire Straits, Blues, 70s funk, 80s pop, and anything funky. Hope to see you at gig near you soon. Read more on Last.fm.
