The Tragic Company

The Tragic Company is an alternative rock band from Estepona, Málaga. Formed from a solo project Juanma Medina had started (guitar and vocals), soon joined by Francisco Gil ‘Frasco’ (lead guitar), Andrés Gallego (drums) and Miguel Retamar ‘Kero’ (bass guitar), completed the lineup by the end of 2008. Their style goes from the most elegant pop to the most agressive hard rock. Influences include The Who, Led Zeppelin or Hendrix in the classic side and Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Porcupine Tree on the more modern side. During this time, they’ve won several important contests in Málaga, such as 40 Principales CostaPop Express 2009, or 1+1 Fusión Cultural, hosted by Javier Ojeda (Danza Invisible’s frontman). Their first album has just been released under the name Bass, Middle, Treble. A 9-track record, being the central piece The Story of a Greedy Bellboy, a mini-rock opera about human love and greed.
