LifeAmongPeople – or LAP mix weighty musical intelligence with social awareness. Armed with a broad palette they defy pigeonholing while wielding an undeniable power high on energy and packed with promise. With songs about real situations and predicaments rather than 3 minute radio friendly ditties about getting dumped, LAP aren’t afraid of injecting some more challenging lyrical fare into their game. Much of the feedback from magazines and fans alike uses the term ‘defies pigeon-holing’ - in a very positive way. Rather than setting out to become the ‘next “insert genre here” band’, vocalist / guitarist Tony Litherland and drummer/vocals Jim Cattell first and foremost wanted to write music that THEY enjoyed – so combining their many varied musical influences mixed with their own sense of timing, atmosphere and adventure - with Martin Wilsons bass know-how, they've created a fresher, tighter, newer, jawdroppingly awesome sound - making the music important again. Their reputation as an outstanding live act has earned them support slots alongside bands such as Eden Maine, The Juliana Theory, Devil Sold his Soul, Enter Shikari, Failsafe, The Blackout, colon open-bracket, and Planes Mistaken For Stars to name just a few and have been getting great praise from these bands for their performances and generating an amazing response from promoters, reviewers and crowds alike.
