Folky, indie, post punky TUNES ! from Scotland. The Colourful Band started by McKelvie (guitars, vocals, harmonica) when he walked into the studio with Dave Steele (drums), met Andy Miller (producer) and started to record the Colourful EP. Joined by another singer songwriter Mike Cathcart for live performances, they tend to play in Glasgow or Edinburgh, unless touring, which has taken them to Australia, bought a 2nd hand spanish guitar played a lot on beaches, serenading foreign girls somewhat unsuccessfully (with the odd exception), hit Japan, had fun and ate raw fish at high speed whilst drinking asahi (bullet trains).
