The band Lada Sport formed in the summer of 2002 and since then there have been a few member changes. Haraldur Leví and Stefnir formed the band and played in the garage with few other boys but early in the year 2003 Friðrik S. joined the band and then things started to happen. Friðrik plays the bass, Haraldur plays the drums and Stefnir plays guitar and sings. At the end of 2003 Heimir Gestur joined the band playing guitar. Lada Sport entered a music competition called “Músík tilraunir” (kind of the Icelandic Battle of the Bands) in 2004 and was second runner up. In september 2004 the boys released their first EP-album which they recorded all by themselves in the garage. They sold 200 copies in three months. Early in the year 2005 the boys recorded a song in Studio Syrland for the price they got in the music competition. They sent the record to the radio station X-fm 91,9 in Iceland where the song was very popular and reached 9th place in the chart. At the same time Heimir Gestur decided to leave the band but they then found the guitarist/vocalist Jón Þór and recorded a brand new album that was released in 2007 and is called "Time and Time Again". The album was well-received in the Icelandic music scene. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
