I Am RosieMay is a 20 year old vocal artist & songwriter, born in East London & grown up in Essex, UK. www.facebook.com/IAmRosieMayOnline soundcloud.com/rosiemay Singing before she could speak, she sang herself thru her early years via triumphant school performances & numerous victorious singing competitions. On joining secondary school she discovered jazz, learnt both trumpet & piano & became the youngest ever lead singer of the big band. She held this position until leaving at 16, having earned a place at the British Academy of New Music in East London. RosieMay spent 3 happy years on both the vocal artist & Artist development courses at BANM where she left in July 2011 having passed with distinction. Having worked on numerous music projects inside & outside of the academy this lady loves both the creative fulfilment of writing & working in the recording studio & the buzz she gets when performing live on stage. She has a love of Soulful RnB, Motown & Pop together with a keen interest in Dance/Electronica sprinkle that with a taste for Rock anthems & not forgetting her memorable experiences fronting a Big Band & you can see why RosieMay is fearless to experiment musically. Since leaving BANM she has been taken under the wing of Paul Barton (In One Ear Industries & Pledge Music) & is currently co writing new material with Larry Hibbitt (Hundred Reasons) & other producer/songwriters such as Tim Hutton (Ian Brown / Prodigy) & Bnaan Watts (Infadels).
