Emma Jane has been performing live since December 2005. The Glasgow born singer, has performed around Scotland, doing both acoustic and band sets, impressing the likes of John McLaughlin (the Scottish songwriter who has written for various acts such as Westlife, Busted and Shane McGowan) who said she was “one to watch” and Billy Sloan (Radio Clyde DJ & Sunday Mail writer) who said she was a “great singer” with “great songs” and the “best talent he had heard in a long, long time.” Emma Jane’s unique blend of country, soul and blues along with her distinctive vocals, has won her many acoustic competitions around Scotland and has earned her a dedicated fanbase in her home country of Scotland. Now based in London, Emma Jane is making a name for herself south of the border too, gaining support from the highly regarded venue The Troubadour, who say she has “masses of potential” as well as getting a gig in the highly acclaimed 100 Club. Emma Jane has both a self-released E.P (Red Shoes) and full album (Penilee Songs) available to download on itunes, which is selling well. The main objective at the moment, being to reach more people with her music and create a “bit of a buzz” around her sound, which will hopefully lead to a full time career in music, performing and writing for herself and others in the industry.
