Park Ranger

Formed in 2002, Park Ranger is an indie pop/rock trio from the Hudson Valley region of New York. The band began recording soon after the indefinite hiatus of their previous effort as members of Doghouse Records' artist Joshua, who had released two LP's, several EP's and toured extensively in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Following years of shows and demoing, Park Ranger prepared to record their debut full-length "Safe Without Sound", released on indie label Parrot on a Porch Records. The group worked with producer and ex-Joshua vocalist Dan Coutant at a recording studio called The Buddy Project in Astoria, Queens. Producer/engineer J. Robbins of Jawbox, Burning Airlines, and Channels (DeSoto Records) was recruited to mix a majority of the albums' songs. Since their album release in the spring of 2008, Park Ranger has generated both a rapid increase of interest online and more and more fans attending shows as they continue to expand their tour coverage. Their undeniable musicianship and talent as songwriters has landed them a special edition release of "Safe Without Sound" in Japan on Waver Waver Records and a successful headlining tour in February of 2009. Park Ranger is currently working on material for their next release on a US label not yet decided. Park Ranger is Sean Hansen (vocals, bass guitar), Keith Bogart (guitar), and Shane Chikeles (drums, vocals). BOOKING: parkrangertheband@gmail.com Read more on Last.fm.
