Franklyne /From Montréal, Québec, Canada Singer/songwriter, director, producer, DJ, actress This aquarian versatile herbal artist was already singing the era’s top 40 repertoire in bars at the age 12 in the 70’s. In the 80’s, she opening for Nina Hagen and Gang of Four in Montreal and Quebec City and released two albums with her Punk-Rock group Terapi : Le Maraudeur and Térapi Primal, The in 90’s she recruited as a performer, back-up singer and guitarist for Michel Lemieux’s world tour, Mutation. In 92, she released 2 music videos from her album Frankline and the Fleurs Sauvages, 6 and win the people’s choice award at Music Plus for her song Rock‘N’Roll Girl. In 2000, she performed 7 different roles in Norman Nawrocki’s Cirque en $Cash, a musical theatre production. In 2003, she wrote and recorded music for two documentaries: Richard Boutet’s prize-winning Sexe de rue and Marie-Josée Ferron’s Rainbow Pride. Four of her songs were included in the soundtrack of Micheal P. Delay’s feature film Frail. In 2007, Following the launch of her latest album Nouveau Scénario in Montreal last spring, Franklyne appears in numerous shows, including Pride Montréal, Pride Québec, Gabrielle-Roy Theater in Vancouver, as well as Provincetown's UU Theater and Bubala's Café. Franklyne can be heard from coast to coast on Canada's CBC Radio stations as well as, KZFR-FM 90.1 in California, WOMR in Provincetown, and several international satellite radio stations. Also known as "the queen of pick-up", DJ Franklyne now spins at the Montréal gay village's famous Sky Pub.
