THE MORTIMERS ??? We're from Warsaw, the capital city of Poland and we started our scene activity on the early Spring of 2004. Since then we've been playing concerts in Warsaw and other Polish cities all the time. Our music is energetic and so far as you can hear, melodic and full of optimistic tunes. We started recording new album in June 2006 and finished in mid August. At the beginning there were only three members of the band. After shaping our music direction we had our first gig on 15.05.2004 and since then we play at least one concert a month. The reception of the band was extremely good what made our minds positively set on playing melodic skate punk. On 14-16.02.2005 we recorded our first demo, "Who da F%$.. is dr Mortimer?", and even though its quality was avarage we managed to gain some fans who like our music and show up at our every show. After a year of deploying and arranging our new material we recorded our second demo "Kalifornia tak daleko..." on 01.02.2006 and recruited to our band James from Australia to play the second guitar. As you can hear, our output is mostly inspired by our own experiences. We want our listeners to know that the music we play is part of them, their society and their subculture. The bands that totally influence and inspire us are ones like LessThanJake, NOFX, GreenDay or Goldfinger. The lyrics mostly touch everyday issues, our lives and interests. After all we're developing but we're still far from our peak point of the ideal band. You can hear the progress comparing our first recordings to our EP album "Nothing To Prove" which we released on 20 August 2006, but we won't stop at this point! Why?
