Elín Helena is an elusive punk-punk (twice the standard amount) from Iceland The only real historical document that existed for a long time about the mysterious and legendary Elín Helena is a music review published in 2003 about the self-published EP "Skoðanir á Útsölu" (Opinions for Sale), which had sold out long ago. The band only played a few shows in Iceland following its release before disappearing completely. Since the band's disappearance a cult of sorts has formed around Elín Helena and many questions have been raised. Icelandic music scholars have been quoted saying that one of their biggest disappointments in life was the departure of Elín Helena. Following the turbulence in Iceland in 2009 the name Elín Helena began popping up with more frequency, shows here and there and rumors of recording sessions in abandoned farmhouses began circulating. Early 2014 saw the release of their much awaited debut album "Til þeirra er málið varðar" (To Whom it May Concern). Read more on Last.fm.
