Stanfour is a rock band from Northern Germany. They were founded on the Island Föhr, where the band members also live. The brothers Alex and Konstantin did an internship (Praktikum) with producers in Los Angeles, and so the band is musically relatively American. This also shows in their english lyrics. Later Christian and Eike joined Stanfour and the Swedes Kasper and Tommy supported them during shows. Currently they're being supported by Tom (guitar) and Paul (drums). The band got their name while in the USA. The four often got coffee at Starbucks, and in the USA, Konstantin was known as 'Stan' - and at Starbucks they write your name on the cup when you order. The waitress asked them if they were a band and suggest the name therefore. In September 2007 Stanfour released their debut single, Do It All, which jumped in the German single charts, and reached place 46. Their second song, For All Lovers, was chosen by Sat.1 as trailer music for the TV show 'Nur die Liebe zählt' (Only Love Counts) and ran in September 2007. Their debut album 'Wild Life' came out on February 29, 2008. From April 2 to May 5, the band were the main opening act for the Backstreet Boys on their European Tour (Germany, Belgium & Luxembourgh). Stanfour has also toured with John Fogerty (Creedance Clearwater Revival) and played shows with Daughtry, One Republic and Bryan Adams. In addition to the heavy hitters they’ve performed with, Stanfour has had some powerful players in the music industry working on this project. Writers Max Martin [Pink, James Blunt], Lindy Robbins [Backstreet Boys], Jess Cates [Backstreet Boys], Ryan Tedder [Singer, OneRepublic], and Desmond Child [Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Kiss] all contributed to the album, with Randy Staub [Nickelback, Metallica] mixing the final product and Martin Hansen [The Rasmus] producing.
