Serafín Zubiri (born Roberto Serafín Lizoain Vidondo on April 20, 1964 in Pamplona, Spain) is a singer, composer and piano player. Zubiri is a blind singer and pianist who has represented Spain twice in the Eurovision festival. He was the vocalist for the group Equus until 1987. In 1992, he recorded the soundtrack for the Disney film Beauty and the Beast. That same year, he went to the Swedish city of Malmö to represent TVE at the Eurovision Festival with the ballad called "Todo esto es la música". In 2000, he won Eurocanción, a contest organized by TVE, and represented Spain in Eurovision, for the song "Colgado de un sueño" by José María Purón. He has also worked in radio and introduced the programme for Disabled Unlimited (local TV in Pamplona). He starred alongside Marta Sánchez in the Broadway musical called The Magic, which premiered at the Teatro Lara in October 2000. In 2006, he hosted TVE. In 2005, he was appointed vice president of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA). In 2007, he competed in the TVE show Watch who dances! (where he was runner up). On April 14, 2008, he joined Dancing for a Dream (Argentina). He also showed his skill in other international versions of these programs. Read more on Last.fm.
