Rules of Attraction is a Chicago 3-piece punk rock band in the vein of local heroes Naked Raygun + Pegboy. The band started in 1999 after the breakup of their former band, the Monsignors. Mike and Andy continued playing guitar and bass, respectively, but Matt, who played sax in the Monsignors, moved back to drums where he played with Mike and Andy in the Chicago fan-fave ska band, Tango Wedding Band. RofA disbanded in the fall of 2005 when Mike accepted a post-doc job offer in Seattle. They played their final show in Chicago at Sylvie's on October 15, 2005. Matt and Andy have since formed a new band Kemman with long-time friend Jeff (who played sax in the band Cougars, and also played sax in the Monsignors and Tango Wedding band with Matt + Andy) on guitar.
