Randy's first album "Songs That Make You Want to Snag" can be heard at; http://www.rounddanceblues.net/albums/snaggingsongs.htm Originally from the Saddle Lake First Nation in Alberta, Canada, Randy Wood now makes his home in St. George Utah with his wife and three kids. He is known across pow-wow country as a respected pow-wow singer and grass dancer. For the last several years Randy has created a new style of singing that has earned him listeners across the globe. His first solo recording “Round dance the night away” was nominated for a 2002 GRAMMY award. His third recording “Round dance blues” won Best Traditional album at the 2005 Native American Music Awards. “Our love will never die” was also nominated for a Grammy in 2006. Randy is one of the founding members of the Northern Cree singers, Wood's round dance solo melodies are described as, romantic lullabies and songs of everlasting love and intimate vocals as he sway to the gentle beat of his drum, leading the listener on a journey of love through the heart and soul.
