Erick Manana

Born in 1959, Erick Manana is a famous malagasy singer and guitar player. His voice is very charming and his guitar skills are often highlighted. His song are very melodic, and full of feelings. He started his carrer in Antananarivo, MG in the "Lolo sy ny taniry" band, back in 1979. He became the guitarist of Graeme Allwright, in 1990, after spending some time in Bordeaux, France. In 1994, he received a RFI prize (french international radio) and started a band "Feo Gasy" (the malagasy voice/sound). His first album, "Vakova", was out in 1997. "Taniko", a great album, was released in 1999. He and Régis Gizavo (accordionist) are good friends and often play music together. Read more on Last.fm.
