Raúl Ornelas was born at Chiapas, México, where he has his soul and heart. Musician, composer and poet, he started his career at small towns of Chiapas, there he met Rey Barba (known as REYLI) and began their friendship- musical coloboration. He moved to méxico city and gathered with Jaime Flores and Luis Carlos Monroy for composing and gig in some cities, that is how the trio Tres de copas (3 de copas) was set up. He vinculated with Aureo Baqueiro, his main producer and also with Fernando de Santiago and Luis «el potro» Contreras, both clever at music and his accompany in the creation of music and live presentations. Raúl Ornelas compositions acquired attention of people with his song "Las cartas sobre la mesa", getting deeper in the trova-balad genre. This song ocuppied best places in lists for at least one year. "En el exilio" and "Manual de lo prohibido" are part of his solist productions. In "El que la hace la canta", a production that gather songwriters, Ornelas stands out with two remearkable songs: "No te espantes" and "El blues del perdedor", this last was write by him and Cesar "Lazcano" Malo and performed as a duet by Raúl Ornelas with Edgar Oceransky.
