This fivesome from Castellón, Spain, is made up of María (vocals, guitar, keyborads), Félix (bass), Juan (guitar), Miguel (drums) and Laura (keyboards). The group was born in 1998 on the Mediterranean coast, as the result of many afternoons full of rehearsals, pop songs, strolls across their beautiful city, cappuccinos in the shade, and bycicle rides. Their first demo ('blue demo'), still sung in English, helped them become known among the new bands in Spain. Lovers of delicate pop, moving melodies and dreamy lyrics were soon attracted to their music. Jabalina Música released their second demo ('red demo'), which featured their first songs in Spanish. In 2000, they released "Un Plato Pequeño", a six-song mini CD with a meaningful change in their name - from Honey Pie to Jonipai (a Spanish soundalike of their original English name). They also recorded two songs for the Jabalina compilation "El Sol sale para todos". Late that year, they took part in the International Benicàssim Festival, a reward for a hard year of work. from www.jabalinamusica.com Read more on Last.fm.
