Kamenbert "En Barcelona ya no hay nadie como tú" es el antológico DCD de los míticos Kamenbert. Referencia FyN-17 KAMENBERT: Buenas canciones que se han hecho esperar Fueron uno de los grupos con más seguidores incondicionales en los 80, sin embargo publicaron muy pocos discos, ese es el motivo que ha llevado a Flor y Nata Records a elaborar esta recopilación tanto de canciones inéditas en maqueta y directo como de algunos de sus recordados éxitos en este doble CD “EN BARCELONA YA NO HAY NADIE COMO TU”, título puesto por el propio grupo y sacado de la letra de “Terciopelo Azul”, que se incluye en el disco. La elaboración ha sido lenta, hemos buscado por todas partes para encontrar no solo esas grabaciones olvidadas, sino también fotografías que empezaban a perder el color, carteles que llevaban lustros sin ver la luz, recortes de periódico a punto de ser devorados por la polilla, solo asi se han podido rescatar canciones como “No me molestes” o “Hey baby” de maquetas de 1982 y 1987, versiones en directo de “Cool Jerk” o “Rescue me” grabadas en el antiguo Zeleste o “Australia” grabada en 1988 en una actuación en Miranda de Ebro. El doble disco, que se presenta en forma de lujoso digibook incluye también “Ultimo Grito” y “Tuve una novia psicodelica” de su buscadísimo single de debut, su exito “Sha la la la” del MiniLP “Soul Nights” y su última grabación, el tema central de la serie de TV3 “Judes Xanguet i les Maniquins”. En total 34 canciones y una pista interactiva. KAMENBERT, Ocho años en la cresta de la ola ! La historia empieza en Castelldefels, Barcelona, en 1981 cuando Dani, Robert, Xavi, Carlo y Manolo deciden dar salida a sus inquietudes, así mismos se definían como "hijos de los 80, cuando la ciudad era gris y peligrosa, el dinero y la información escaseaban y el futuro se vislumbraba como la broma imbécil de la que nadie reía" (según sus propias palabras). En el mundo surgía la "New Wave" y los recién nacidos KAMENBERT también rompieron con la década anterior (heavy, rock sinfónico y layetano) tomando como punto de referencia el rithm'n'blues y el soul de los 60. Los primeros 80 vieron la eclosión de pequeñas compañías independientes que inspirándose en las británicas, anteponían la imaginación al poderío económico. Quizá por eso se editaron docenas de singles y EP's (en vinilo) frente al standarizado formato "long-play" de los 70. Inmersos en esta vorágine, KAMENBERT tuvieron su primera oportunidad en la Primavera de 1983 editando el único single del sello DNI (editado por Flor y Nata Records) que contó con la portada del dibujante de comics Montesol. Siguieron multitud de actuaciones, festivales y escenarios compartidos con Brighton 64 (entonces también en Flor y Nata Records), Los Negativos, Los Novios y tantos otros. KAMENBERT fueron un grupo convulso y siempre vivo por el que llegaron a pasar hasta 15 personas entre músicos y vocalistas pero nunca nadie mayor de 25 años. Con la llegada de Maika para sustituir a Manolo como vocalista, el sonido se hizo más negro. Siguieron los cambios hasta el punto que en 1986 solo Dani quedaba ya de los KAMENBERT originales. En el 87 es Maika quien abandona y las Kamenberettes (inspiradas en las Supremes de Diana Ross, las Vandellas de Martha Reeves o las Shangri-Las) toman protagonismo. 1987 es también el año en que fichan por DRO y publican el MiniLP "Soul Nights". Pero cuando parecía que estaban a punto de dar el gran salto, más cambios y disolución final en octubre de 1988 tras una actuación en Manlleu. Tan solo quedaba un compromiso pendiente la grabación del tema central de la serie de TV3 Judes Xanguet i les Maniquins. con el soporte de I.C.I.C.
