In 1999 Lise Darly won the Graine de Star Tour in Mandelieu, a contest in which she was one of more than 100 participants. In 2001 she decided to turn professional, joined a group and sang with Dave and Jane Manson for a year. In 2003 she started performing with the Grand Orchestra of Baie des Anges at shows, conferences and parties. Since then she has been travelling around to sing in France and other European countries. Lise Darly, who performed Tout de moi in Kiev, was selected out of more than 10 singers who had been invited to represent Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. The young singer born in Nice on 27th December 1981 took part in a Monegasque casting show in 2004, in which she finished second behind Märyon who was selected to represent Monaco in Istanbul. "We have doubted a lot in 2004 whether to choose her or Märyon," explained Phil Bosco, Head of Delegation and composer of Notre planète and Tout de moi.
