In June 2007, Kastadyne's anthem of personal anguish 'Victim of my Anger' shot up to #1 at Soundclick.com in the alternative-avant rock genre. It also reached #1 in the overall alternative list of more than 110,000 songs. Kastadyne, a (mostly) studio band from Mumbai, is basically the writer-composer duo of Sheldon Fonseca and Tejas Narayan (TJ). Sheldon is the lead vocal and lyricist and TJ is the composer and plays all the guitars on the album. On this CD, the sessions musician is Adriel George on keys. Word on the street is that Kastadyne is 'classic rock', 'un-metal' and 'surprising themes and hooks'. The band's influences range from Deep Purple to Limp Bizkit to Nirvana. Some people say that (because of the vocal harmonies in songs like 'Blur in the mirror') Kastadyne is like the classic Crosby Stills Nash meets today's Audioslave. All the eleven songs from their maiden CD album 'Eleven Complaints' are here at last.fm and one bonus track 'Nightmare' is a free download. Read more on Last.fm.
