Defying Control is born from a passion that both Killer (singer/bass player) and Xico (guitar) had for punk rock music! These two founders of the band grew up listening to amazing bands such as NOFX, Bad Religion or Ramones. In 2003 they got together in a punk rock band which, in 2005, gave birth to Defying Control. Between 2005 and 2007, the band had to deal with several line-up changes. Following up the album release, there was a tour, in which the band played with the american band IGNITE. By this time, André Lopes da Silva (guitar) joined the band, which was crucial in DC’s development. Due to his musical and production skills, he ended up producing most of the new album and has revealed to be a great value added to the band. The guys entered Marco Cipriano’s Quick Punch Productions studio to record the second album. After 3 months of hard work, the band left the studio firmly believing that this is the best music they have done so far, matching their developments as musicians. Meanwhile, the band welcomes their new drummer Pedro Simao. Defying Control is currently preparing the national and international release of their new album with every detail in it, and working on the new video for the single “Saviour”. The band soon will be ready to bring the new album to the whole world… Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
