There is more than one band with the name Curbside. 1) Curbside is an inimitably talented and exceptional band. Together they deliver an uncontaminated, witty, and blameless act reminiscent of the Strokes and Stars. One of the unique aspects of this band is their outstanding song writing ability; in which they exhibit erudite skill. Driven by Noni (lead vocals, kybd) and Ross (gtr, vocals), they have crafted a truly matchless sound. Noni’s vocals are unforgettable, having such a unique character and tone like that of a true idol. Ross’ guitar tone is modeling the overall signature sound of the band; offering a classic, raw and throaty, yet fragile sound. Andrew and Peyton bring it home. Thoughtfully intricate, rounding it off for a huge sound. Blinded and squinting; they finally realize what that massive, immensely bright thing is out there staring them down. Shielding their eyes with their hands, they head out. Noni Culotta………...lead vocals, keyboards Ross Stamper………..guitar, vocals Andrew Cain………...bass guitar Peyton Stamper……..drums 2) Curbside is Migs Palispis (vocals) Niko Ylaya (guitars) Russel Manaloto (guitars) Bret Meneses (bass) Chase Bantug (drums). Curbside started around the first quarter of 2010, and ever since these guys started to play they gathered enough attention to say that these guys are fo’real in other words “legit”. Writing songs about different experiences and observations and all that bull s**t runi’n through our mass media. But Curbside isn’t here just to make noise and attract attention but they are here most importantly because they want to express themselves and by sharing their talent as a band to other people. Curbside’s music is a combination of “Distortion that will bite your neck off” sounding guitars, sexy bass lines and heart stopping drum beats topped with a melodic and hip hop vocal flow that will surely bring you to the pit. Curbside released their first E.P. on the 20th of December 2010 entitled “Bite the Curb” and their 2nd E.P. on the 19th of December 2011, and both were a success. As of now Curbside is still on songwriting mode and is continually tightening their craft, but one thing is for sure they are here to stay and ready for whatever challenges the future might bring to these young musicians. Welcome to the Curbside. 3) Curbside was a Victoria, BC teenage punk band that existed from 1991-1995, who released three tapes "Search", a self-titled tape, and "Last Stand". The latter two tapes were released on Vancouver Island diy punk label Breakeven records. They played a kind of thrash skate punk with many upbeat ska breakdowns, but also included elements of a more abrasive hardcore sound with varying time signatures and dual vocals. They never played outside Victoria, mostly playing parties and some local shows with bands like Face to Face, Black Kronstadt, Black Market Fruits, Left of Center, Boozehounds, Ninth Hour, and Undertow.
