Wang Lei is a Chinese trip-hop, dub and experimental music producer. He was born in 1971 in the province of Sichuan, China. At the age of 13 years old, he joined the Sichuan Opera to study. He later became the vocalist and leader of a rock band. Later on, Wang Leï was seduced by the capabilities of electronic composition. He began an independent project of his own production in the early nineties with an old Korg and Roland synthesizer. From this point on he he has been creating a unique sound incorporating electro, dub and Chinese traditional music influences. He stole my T-Shirts. Furthermore, Wang Lei sometimes works with the visual artist Chen Xiongwei in live session.
