The young soprano Veronika Dzhioeva is one of the most engaged singers worldwide. She performs regularly in Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Czech, Estonia, Lithuania, USA, China, South Korea, and Japan. Ms. Dzhioeva graduated from St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory, where she studied with Prof. T. Novichenko (the teacher of Marina Shaguch and Anna Netrebko). Veronika started her career with the 3rd prize at the Maria Callas International Competition (Athens, 2005). Her operatic debut was in 2004 as Mimi in Puccini's "La Boheme" under the direction of A. Shakhmametyev. Russian music critics began to appreciate her after she has received the Grand Prix at the VII International Vocal Competition (Kaliningrad, 2006). The Russian magazine "Culture" awarded her with the title of "Debut of The Year" for her performing of the role of Fiordiligi in "Cosi fan tutte" (2006, under the direction of T. Currentzis). In the choral opera by R. Shchedrin "Boyarynia Morozova", Veronika sung Princess Urusova to great acclaim. Today Veronika Dzhioeva is a leading soloist in "Golden triangle" of Russian opera theaters: Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and Novosibirsk State Opera as well. To her credit Ms. Dzhioeva has performed such diverse roles as: La Contessa (Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro"), Tatiana (Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin"), Micaela ("Carmen" by Bizet), Violetta ("La Traviata" by Verdi), Fiordiligi (Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte"), Elisabetta ("Don Carlo" by Verdi), Mimi and Musetta (Puccini's "La Boheme").
