Despite having released his first solo album in 2011, Trop Montune is no stranger to the stage. The young MC, born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, first made his way into the Florida Hip-hop scene as part of the duo Logic N’ Tropik, with whom he released a number of mixtapes and a self-titled EP. The later departure of his lyrical partner inspired Trop to press on as a solo artist. In 2011, he joined forces with music producer Abdias Ernesto Garcia and released "For My People" his first solo album on the newly established indie label Tacatantán Records. This new collaboration allowed him to reinvent himself and create a new sonic imprint. In 2013, Trop continues to expand on themes close to his heart with the releases of "The Snapback" & "Golden Night" and the placement of his song “Que Pasara” in the indie movie “The House That Jack Built”. The future looks mighty promising for the Puerto Rican lyricist as he is currently working on delivering new projects in 2014 including the long-awaited return of Orlando’s Hip-Hop veterans “OMIS”. Trop Montune is a force to watch for as an innovator in the world of Latin Hip-Hop and someone who is not afraid to take musical risks to get his point across. Read more on Last.fm.
