Monteniggers

Monteniggers is the most famous Montenegrin hip-hop group formed by originally by Igor Lazic (Niggor), Nebojsa Saveljic (Nebo, Sky) and Dusan Nikolic in the late 80's. They published their first album - Tajna Marenda. After that they quickly turned into one of the most popular groups in Yugoslavia. Unfortunately Dusan Nikolic died from an incurable disease, before the first album was released. Afterwards Niggor and Nebo continued working as the hip-hop duo. They published another album, Allboom in 1998. In 1999, Nebojsa Saveljic tragically died after a fatal car accident while returning from Adriatic coast to Podgorica. As the consequence of his death, Sky Foundation was founded. Niggor stopped making music for several years, occasionally making singles with his friend Vlado Georgiev (like Ne Brze Od Zivota and Tropski Bar). In 2003 Niggor made a new album, Dog On a Needle, in house style of music. Monteniggers' songs are famous for their humorous lyrics, and samples from West Coast rappers' songs (like Dr. Dre's - Aint Nuthin' But a G Thang, Nate Dogg and Warren G's - Regulate). Some of their well known songs incloude: Mladi Pistolero, Pasji Pas, So I Tekila, Aj, etc. Read more on Last.fm.
