Tricity Vogue is a London, UK, cabaret jazz singer who has been performing since 2004. "Peggy Lee after a few too many cocktails" - Tricity sings vintage-style tongue-in-cheek songs, about her romantic misadventures, and has become a regular performer on London's flourishing cabaret and burlesque scene. Tricity's backing varies: a full band (e.g. Tricity Vogue's All Girl Swing Band), a smaller line-up, or just her small pink ukulele. In Tricity's septet, Tricity Vogue Slinktet, she is joined by her partner-in-crime Honey Mink (vocals, ukuleles), Sir Fitzroy Callow (trombone), Connie Vanderlay (piano), Earl Mysterio (guitar), Trousers Mercedes (bass) and Bobby Fresh (drums). The ensemble's music harks back to the 30s, 40s and 50s, and is inspired by sounds from past eras, rather than faithful to one period alone. Their repertoire is eclectic, encompassing jazz, lounge, blues, latin and swing influences. Many of their songs are original tunes written and arranged to sound vintage in style, with lyrics that play up to the singers' vamp image, while at the same time reflecting a more modern romantic sensibility.
