Tizzy Bac is a band asssembled in 1999, Taipei, Taiwan by vocalist and keyboard player Hui-Ting Chen (陳惠婷), drummer Kai-Tong Zheng (鄭凱同) and bassist Zhe-Yu Xu (許哲毓). Their multicolor band integrates jazz, alternative rock and electronic elements, creating a unique atmosphere that indistinctly reminds of Bend Folds Five, New Order and Loop. However, bearing the belief 'every song has its own personality' in mind, Tizzy Bac never confines themselves with a monotonic definition. In 2001, Tizzy Bac's performances at Formoz Festival 2001 and Hohaiyan Rock Festival 2002 were praised by fans, artists and critics, including Cat Power, who was fascinated by Hui-Ting Chen's 'powerful voice'. 2003, Tizzy Bac's first album 什麼事都叫我分心 (Shen me shi dou jiao wo fen xin; Anything Can Tempt Me) assembled 10 pieces of work continuing their passionate and kaleidoscopic style. In the same year, drummer Kai-Tong Zheng(凱同) left the band while 林前源 came in substitution. Their EP 夏季熱 (Xia ji re; Sunstroke) was released in 2005, with a fresh and new image. This EP has brought rich and elastic rock, maintaining their distinguishing basis.. Their second studio album 我想你會變成這樣都是我害的 (I Think It's All My Fault That You Turned Out Like That) was issued in 2006, which made Tizzy Bac one of the biggest indie rock bands in Taiwan. In the following year, they released an EP 維克多的玫瑰 (La Rose de Victor) along with a live album 聊聊吧 (Tizzy Bac Unplugged Concert). In 2009, Tizzy Bac continued to release a 3rd full-length 如果看見地獄,我就不怕魔鬼 (If I See Hell, I Won't Be Afraid of Demons). In the end of the same year, they brought out an EP 你們都不要變 (Don't Change) in celebration of their 10th anniversary. After two years of touring, the band released their 4th album 告密的心 in mid 2011. In the album, the music of Tizzy Bac has changed to a more synth-rock style, and was widely acclaimed by fans and music critics. Read more on Last.fm.
