Titans of Filth is a pop group from Athens Georgia. Sam Grindstaff (from the small town McCaysville in the northern part of the state) started Titans of Filth as a solo project in 2002 during his college years. Titans became a band with other musicians and started performing live shows in Athens in early 2006 and has continued with many line-up changes since then, achieving very little in the way of any measurable success or popularity. Their first performances were at open mic nights at DTs Down Under and Walker's Pub. Their first proper show was at the Secret Squirrel d.i.y. space. They shared a van with Cars Can Be Blue to travel to New York in 2007 to play that year's Pop Fest but aside from that one long trip to play a single performance they have never undertaken a proper tour. For a while all their songs were in the key of B. After that, all the new songs were in the key of C. A Brief Discography: 1. Wake Me Up If You Can CDR LP, 2002. 2. Our Coma Summer CDR LP, 2003. 3.
