The Revellions

The Revellions were forged amidst a haze of frustration and red neon lights in the early days of 2006. Originally a surf instrumental band, they changed their line-up and hit the Dublin music scene with all the vigour of a garage band in heat. Since then they have played to the loving patrons of London's most prestigious garage club The Dirty Water Club, Eyes Wide Open @ Glasgow Barfly, Derry's Beatnik Soul and Louie Louie in Gijon (Spain). They have also played with some bigger name bands such as The Sultans of Ping, The Knights of the New Crusade and Graham Day and the Gaolers. It was then in late 2007 when the men met the newest Revellion. A wailing blues singer named Ali Moore. They quickly whisked him away to Cirrco Perrotti studios in Spain to lay down some tracks for their debut album, produced by Jorge Explosion (Dr. Explosion) and Mike Mariconda (The Raunch Hands) With a pounding rhythm section, a swirling and moody organ player, a guitar player that shoots out daunting riffs like early morning target practice and a psychotic vocalist that screams like a drunken banshee, The Revellions know how to keep it primitive. Very fast, very loud, very cool. Their self-titled debut album was released on Dirty Water Records, and launched on 26th November 2008 at the famous 100 Club in London. http://www.myspace.com/therevellions Read more on Last.fm.
