Pumping rhythm and edgy original tunes have sparked near orgy-riots in bars and moose lodges across the country. Called an Artist To Watch by The Virginian Pilot, played on air from Canada to Brazil, The Dunes rock all seasons. 2. The Dunes are a dream pop band from Adelaide, Australia. The band's two main members, Stacie Reeves and Matt Reiner, first played together in Adelaide as part of Matt Reiner and the Aunt Sallys. As The Dunes, their musical style is influenced by Mazzy Star, Calexico, Grant Lee Buffalo, Nick Drake, The Doors, Joy Division, Portishead, Low and other similar acts of the '90s-'00s indie genre and alternative rock spectrum. The name of the band came to Reiner in a dream. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
