The Bon Bon Club

The Bon Bon Club first started about 2 years ago, when The Long Blondes rhythm section decided to break away and have a go on their own. They gave themselves the names Sushi Quatro and Thirsty Moore, and covered songs they liked, playing only bass and drums. In 2007 they recorded 3 songs with Alan Smyth, and a new band member Chapatti Smith came on board, providing extra vox and percussion. These 3 songs were later released by Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation. The Bon Bon Club became a 2 piece once more, when Thirsty Moore retired, and Chapatti Smith took over on the drums. In 2008 Boozie Sioux joined up and brought her keyboard and woodblock with her, giving us the Bon Bon Club as they stand. They revisited Smyth in April 2009 to record 3 new cover songs that now make up their second single 'Sex On Fire' released as a limited edition 3" mini CD on Rare Breed Discs. Read more on Last.fm.
