Southern hard rock with country overtones, Tattoo Rodeo played a bluesy down home brand of heavy metal. Very little in the way of commercial success led to the band being largely forgotten by the rock community. Burbank, California seemed like an unusual spawning ground for such a sounding band, but makes sense considering their earlier formation as AOR band White Sister. When White Sister's keyboardist departed, Dennis Churchill-Dries (vocals/bass), Rick Chadock (guitar) and Rich Wright (drums) recruited piano and B3 Hammond player Michael Lord and renamed themselves Tattoo Rodeo. 1991's Rode Hard - Put Away Wet included such singles as "Been Your Fool" and "Let Me Be The One", but failed to sell in huge quantities. The band would lose their major label contract yet surprisingly returned with another album in 1995. Skin would include new bassist Robert Berg but didn't attract any new fans and Tattoo Rodeo faded away. Lord would pursue a solo career while a White Sister reunion was announced and new material is on the way. Read more on Last.fm.
