a band so scared of naming its influences it's daunting to write anything at all. after being cornered with a pitchfork for a definition of their eclectic sound, the tag 'post noise rock' surfaced, which is pretty damn accurate i guess, but it doesn't touch on the prog these guys have going. off-the-wall changes, skewed time signatures and double guitar passages just scream the obvious. however, the songs stay short (never over 5 minutes), instrumental masturbation in the form of solos and similar symptoms of cockiness are refreshingly absent. the focus is on intelligent rock that doesn't get boring, rarely repetetive and well constructed. vocals are relatively sparse; the weight is on guitar dominated riffs backed up by a solid rhythm section and clever songwriting. fact is: despite being bloody slow at publishing stuff, they're definetely one of the the most original contributors to the swiss music scene. agreed, their sound isn't up everyone's alley, but that just adds to the charm, face it. find them @ official homepage myspace page musicbrainz page o.k. rewind Pottwalplatte no gesture demo Read more on Last.fm.
