Silinder is the brainchild of Gav Mulhall. Born back in 2002 from a love of dark and electronic sounds. You won’t have to listen too hard to hear Silinder’s diverse range of musical influences in his music, which ranges from, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode, to, Infusion, Evil Nine and King Unique. The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long untill these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites. These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat. Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the september issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance. Now in 2007,Silinder has releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and Composure Records UK and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester's Segment Records.
