Type 14 was founded on a vision, to create a unique sound reflective of their musical inspirations, with great songwriting as their foundation. Hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Type 14 quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Their commanding stage presence and high energy live shows caught the attention of many during performances with MudVayne, Sevendust, Dope, Cold, Type O Negative, Mushroom Head, Oleander, Ratt, Quiet Riot and many others. Their first recording, simply entitled “Type 14,” further propelled the band, with 7 songs appearing on MTV's “Room Raiders,” “The Andy Milonakis Show,” and “Viva La Bam”; VH1's “Breaking Bonaduce,” “Celebrity Fit Club” and "Celebrity Rehab; A&E’s “Chris Angel: Mind Freak” and “Gene Simmons Family Jewels”; E! Channel’s “The Gastineau Girls”; The Discovery Channel’s “Salute to Heroes: Iraq Confidential with Jesse James”; National Geographic’s “Swarms”; Nickelodeon's "Hi-Jinlks: Tony Hawk" and many more Following the success of their debut CD, Type 14 released their follow up "Open Your Eyes." The song “Fall” was featured on the Howard Stern Radio Show in July 2006. In August of 2006, Type 14 won the 95.1 FM WZZO Backyard Bands Contest.
