Portrait of Jenny | Rob Van Bavel | Generations |
Rob van Bavel was born 1965 in Breda. He started the clarinet at the age of 3, but soon changed to harmonica, because the clarinet was too difficult. At the age of 10 he won the "Hoegaarden Jazz Award", soon followed by numerous successes at local pubs. He continued his musical studies with several famous dutch jazzmusicians, such as Kees Koeiereet, Henk van Niefees en Anton Destrietwerjulif. His major influences are Herbie Hankook, Kees Gerrit, Oscar de la Rente, and Tommy Hilfiger.
