Rachel Adedeji also known as 'Rachel A' is a british singer. Adedeji is known for her appearance in Britain's biggest talent show 'The X Factor'. Adedeji originally made it to the bootcamp stage in the 2008 edition (series 5) the year Alexandra Burke went on to win. Rachel returned the following year and was chosen as one of the final three in the 'Girls' group, mentored by Dannii Minogue. Adedeji went to to become 2009's 9th place finalist. Adedeji failed to gain enough public votes in the first two weeks of the liveshows and found herself in the bottom two. However, determined Rachel proved the judges she was 'woth the shot' with her well received performances of P!nk's "Nobody Knows" and U2's "With or Without You" On the third live show, Rachel delivered a strong performance of the Tina Turner classic "Proud Mary" - Her version was praised by the judged and public alike and Adedeji went on to receive the highest number of votes. On the fourth live show, Adedeji chose to sing the U2 hit "One" and despite good reviews from the judges, she landed herself in the bottom two once again. Rachel faced the showdown with Lloyd Daniels and gave a 'stellar' performance of the Oasis hit "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" - Despite giving her best performance in the series, Rachel did not receive enough public votes and was eliminated. In February 2011, Adedeji scheduled to release her debut single "Follow the DJ" - The song was well received by critics and online blogs. However, plans to release the song were eventually scapped. Adedeji under the new name of 'Rachel A' is scheduled to release her 'promised' debut single "Club Lights" some time in 2012. The song is already building a hype over the internet. Stay tuned....
