The band featured guitarist/vocalist Ryan Nicolussi (formerly of The Jacket), bassist Anastasi Kotoros and drummer Nik Russo (also of Mirrorsessions and Bennie James and the Hesitant Few). The band was formed in 2009 after Nicolussi had ended his time in The Jacket and found himself "in limbo". He began writing solo material, and subsequently asked Kotoros and Russo to be a part of the band. The line-up was cemented through several gigs in Wollongong and Sydney. The band came first in the University of Wollongong band comp and second in the Illawarra Mercury Battle of the Bands in 2009. They changed their name to Slow Waves in 2010 and ultimately disbanded in 2011. 3. Paper Moon was an Utrecht based Dutch band, active from 2003 to 2005. The band played guitar popsongs, and released one studio album, Brittle Hearts, in 2004. They described their music as inspired on sixties pop music. Before the band saw the light in 2003, the four male members appeared on two EP's, released with the brothers of Daryll Ann. Read more on Last.fm.
