Nick B Hall... ... is best known as half of The Hall Brothers. with this band he has toured in the UK, Ireland and Holland. the band has released albums on Confidential Records (UK) Ltd, two of which are available through iTunes. Nick is currently writing songs for a new solo project. he is a professional actor and director, having appeared in 'Entrenched', 'Life Of Pi' (national tour) and 'The Dig' for twisting yarn theatre company. He is due this year to direct two more plays and then act in a touring show. Nick B Hall was born on the 3rd January 1973 in Shipley, West Yorkshire and began writing songs from a very early age. Formal piano lessons led to an interest in the altogether more portable guitar. After a few lessons at school, Nick honed his highly individual and distinctive style by obsessively playing along to records at home until he could play exactly like his heroes. His voice has been likened to Scott Walker and Ian McNabb and is, he thinks, a result of a) having being taught to sing 'properly' as a boy soprano and b) being force-fed fifties and sixties music from a young age.
