Nashenas (Pashto/Farsi: ناشناس), born as Sadiq Fitrat, (Pashto/Farsi: صادق فطرت) is a famous Afghan singer since the 1970s whose albums consist of Pashto, Dari, and some Urdu songs. Nashenas was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan.His native tongue is Pashto but can also sing in Dari and Urdu. He is believed to be currently residing in London, England. He is popular among the populations of both Afghanistan and Pakistan, specially in the Pashto-speaking areas like the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), Quetta and other cities with large number of Afghans and Pashtuns. He is also popular because he sang Ghazal of Iqbal (Allama Iqbal).[citation needed] He has many fans among the Dari-speaking people of Afghanistan. He has a following among new singers as well, who are noted to imitate his style of singing.
