What began as a side project for members of Last days of Lorca and Court of Hidden Faces quickly turned into one of Brighton’s biggest and best Post Rock bands. Since releasing their debut album on Nice Weather For Airstrikes Records in 2007 the band have extensively toured the UK and Ireland, and are now working on the hotly anticipated, and more organic, 2nd album. MBMR have played with the likes of And So I Watch You From Afar, Staefraenn Hakon, Codes in the Clouds, Enablers and God Is An Astronaut and have evolved their sound since their debut from leftfield electronica to completely organic Post Rock singalongs. RockMidgets.com "Soaring and uplifting and urgent...building and dashing, accordion-accompanied, going-down-a-hill-in-a-barrel thing" Drowned In Sound "Layered electric guitars swell with orchestral grandeur, whilst poignant male / female vocals blend faultlessly to create a sweet sound that's simultaneously uplifting and melancholic" XYZ "The most irresponsible song this month, with its danger-baiting, albeit polite, refrain, “I suggest that you burn down your homes.”" Brighton Source Read more on Last.fm.
