In the Wake of Giants

In the Wake of Giants was started in May of 2006 by Drayton Frey, Dan Baldauff, Justin Nixon and Sam Rodgers-Melnick. After a year of recording in various living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and church sanctuaries, the band finally produced enough material for a full-length record. In April 2008, In the Wake of Giants released their self-titled album, and it has been gaining momentum ever since. In the fall of 2008, the band took on Robert LaValley to allow Drayton to spend more time playing the guitar. Soon after, for unknown reasons, Dan Baldauff left the band. In June 2010 the band released their second album The Joy, the Sorrow. By then the band had won an additional member and now consists of Robert LaValley (bass, guitar, vocals), Sam Rodgers-Melnick (drums, piano, vocals), Justin Nixon (guitar, vocals, banjo), Drayton Frey (guitar) and Jed Dixon (slide guitar).
