1. Mek (Anton Mek) is a Russian dubstep artist. One of the first to have begun playing dubstep in Moscow, Mek has been remembered by many for his DJ sets always filled with his own tracks and experiments invloving the use of live instruments. He started his musical activities in the field of experimental electronica, while always being enamoured with reggae and dub. That's why in his tracks Anton seamlessly mixes depth, melody and drive, which combined make you move to the beat. 2. MEK (which stands for a number of things, such as Mars Expedition Komplex) is the electro-aoustic improv trio of Burkhard Beins (zither, handheld electronics, electro-acoustic treatments), Michael Renkel (acoustic nylon-string guitar, analogue synth, electronics) and Derek Shirley (bass synthesizer).
