Lovestruck Robot

Within a week of the release of their debut album, I Wanna Be in a Band, Lovestruck Robot took off in a big way by beating out more than 300 bands to win the Florida GRAMMY Showcase on opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival and Conference. Judged by music industry experts based on songwriting, song quality, and their live performance, this Orlando, Florida-based band took home first place and more than $25,000 in prizes. By recording, playing at notable live music venues around the Southeast, and continuing to impress fans and establish themselves as real players in the music scene, Lovestruck Robot has a fan base that is established and continues to grow. The band’s new CD, “I Wanna Be In A Band,” was released on April 12, 2011, and it has already received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts and the general public. The band has a dynamic sound that some industry personnel have described as the outcome of collaboration between Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot recently shot a music video for the title track, I Wanna Be in a Band. The video is a tongue-in-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after “making it big.” Singer/songwriter and frontman, Jace Magee, is from Moore, Oklahoma and moved to Orlando in 2002 to pursue his musical dreams. He has toured the U.S. as the opening act for Hall & Oates. Click Here to Like Lovestruck Robot on Facebook Read more on Last.fm.
