Kelly Woods

Stood on stage at Wembley age nine she was ready to begin her solo backed by a full gospel choir. A quick brew and then she was off again soloist at the Royal Albert Hall for the Gospel Arts Festival and many other venues across England in various choirs. Amongst her choral background Kelly was accepted into the Brit School to study musical theatre, impressively playing Diana Morallis in ‘A Chorus Line’. That one singular sensation wasn’t enough as she then went like a bat out of hell to a world of popular music. Moving to London in 2004 she acquired a bachelor of music degree at a specialized vocal college (Vocaltech). Here she developed her skills in composition and music technology, meeting other like-minded musicians and establishing herself as a solo artist. This young lady worked on various projects as a soloist and backing singer from trip hop, R&B, classical, right through to house music. Amongst the people with whom she has worked are big names like Brian Eno and Damon Albarn. Kelly is accomplished as a singer in her own right bringing a typically recorded and DJ based movement to a live funky setting using samples to create a fresh and energetic groove to the music scene. With a her variety of live looping song or live band kick she provides a selection of two different sounds. Kelly is now in the process of recording her EP including the songs Rise Up, Music is My Soul, Feel Alone and Your Devotion.
