Born and raised in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently living in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Jackie Dorsey found a way to express his love for music by sharing his creativity with the world. Jackie studied the trumpet during his middle through high school days, he is a self-taught keyboard player, and song-writer/composer/song arranger. Jackie has put together a ten song CD collection entitled, FINALLY_2012, which is sure to get some attention for its smooth jazz and soulful sounds. FINALLY_2012, he believes, is a likable and moving debut CD that heralds the arrival of a somewhat raw but gifted and noteworthy new talent. Jackie's creative thoughts have allowed him to write, compose, arrange, and record these songs exactly the way he has always heard them in his mind. He has spent months on certain songs, refining them until he thought they were just right. This allowed him to create these long awaited songs that are the result of everyday living for him. Life experiences were his motivation in creating this collection of songs.
