Inkari performs the traditional music of the Andes, rooted in the cultural heritage of the Incas and their descendants. The dynamic and mystical songs that they play are interpreted through their hearts as a gift to the ears of the listener, and are sung in both Spanish and Quechua (the language of the Incas). Their sentiments are strong and genuine. The beautiful intensity of Inkari's music reflects the clarity, profundity and hint of sadness mixed in with the happiness found in the highlands of Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Inkari is the name of the mythological semigod founder of the City of Cuzco in Peru and, according to one of many stories, was the first of the Incas.
