His Productions possess a rare duality of intense and pure dark energy, the soundtrack to a black crow on an interstellar journey. Imaginary Friend’s musical peers include Hironobu hagiwara(IIHD), Naofumi Takahashi(CODE7023), UN.CO. and Booker, the recognized tastemaker and man behind Breathe Records who indentified him as one to watch when we named him as a member of his digital label. Whatever you call it, as we move through autumn 2010 and beyond, Imaginary Friend is one of the artists who represent the Greek Dubstep scene in the distance and by the time the light of his electric melody’s reaches our eardrums, with participations on many gigs as a member of Breathe Records alongside Digital Mystikz, Joker, Booker, Circo Inverso, UN.CO, Burning City Soundystem, Skone and more, unfortunately we’ve never saw him acting live, since he joined the forces of Greek Army, having zero time to prepare something worth it. Rumors say we can catch him on January 2011 introducing a really big name of Dubstep Scene in association with Lovelight Bookings, Breathe Records and Undersky Collective, which one is leaded by himself. 3) Imaginary Friend is a seven member collective indie pop band from Finland and has released a self-titled mini-album in 2004 and a full lenght called 'Sister Dear' in 2006. 4) Imaginary Friend was formed in 2002 by Neal Leatherman. Having picked up the guitar only 5 years prior, Neal found himself in a prolific period of songwriting. As a result, he recorded three albums' worth of this early material. Although many of these songs were very basic, the seeds of Imaginary Friend's future had been sown. In early 2003, he reunited with an old friend — ex-URI classmate Jeff Carroll — and the future of Imaginary Friend as we know it began to take shape. Jeff brought a technical background (in both recording and musicianship) to the table and helped Neal produce his next set of songs more fully. The result of these sessions was another set of demo albums, Clean My Bass and Chord To Nowhere. Following the completion of these albums, the duo began writing the songs for what would become A, B & C. This period, between 2004 and 2007, represented the true gelling of the band, as both members collaborated on the songs from start to finish. 4) Singer-songwriter Jesse Epstein initially recorded as Imaginary Friend. He produced The Imaginary EP, toured with Kina Grannis, and was active on You Tube, Facebook, and Twitter under the name ImaginaryFriendMusic.
